Perfect Days in Bangkok
Pai was a dream guide during our stay in Bangkok.
As a local, she not only showed us the top sights of the city but also many wonderful little hidden gems.
Where to start… The tour of the grand palace was great and we learned so much about Thai history and culture. The visit to the Wat Saket temple with the view over the city was brilliant and the Jim Thompson house, owned and designed by the silk manufacturer, was also super interesting. We also loved the small stores and workshops and the many murals in Old Town.
We went shopping in Siam Square, strolled through the market and food stalls in ChinaTown and enjoyed sundowner drinks on the rooftop terrace by the river with a view of Wat Arun. It was magnificent.
Although ExploreUntoldThailand offers easy transportation around the city, we wanted to move around like a Bangkokian. With Pai’s company, this was of course very easy. We took the bus, the tuk tuk, the BTS, the cab, the small boats through the Klong and the big boats across the river. Of course, it takes a bit more time, but we loved it and think you see a lot more of the city this way.
